SUITCASE SERIES: Kim Evans, Founder of signature brow and lash range Lux by Kim Evans

This week we caught up with Kim Evans, the founder of  Lux by Kim Evans, a high-performance, cruelty-free beauty range designed to deliver effortless, nourishing glam with pro-level results, to find out what she never travels without, their packing tips, and what their most memorable trip has been so far…

With over a decade of shaping the world’s most iconic brows and lashes, Kim Evans has built a beauty legacy one stroke at a time. From the fast-paced backstage buzz of fashion weeks to the quiet precision of her studio chair, Kim’s artistry has become synonymous with excellence and elegance.

Frustrated by products that didn’t live up to her expert standards, Kim took matters into her own hands — launching Lux by Kim Evans, a beauty line designed to bring runway-level results into real life. Crafted with nourishing, high-quality ingredients and an uncompromising eye for performance, her range is made for modern women on the move: easy to use, kind to skin, and powerful enough to keep up with your lifestyle.

A trailblazer in the beauty world, Kim is proof that passion, precision, and purpose can take you anywhere — and look flawless doing it.

In this week’s Suitcase Series, we take a sneak peek into Kim’s travel psyche…

What’s been your most memorable trip and why?

A family holiday to Fiji when my boys were just 7 and 9 years old. We shared the most incredible (and simple) experiences—bike riding, a speed boat trip to a local village, attending a church service, fishing, cooking our own catch, snorkelling, and enjoying dinner dances together. It was a trip filled with fund and connection, and we created some of our most treasured family memories.

What’s your favourite ever hotel?

I’m very partial to the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain!

Where or what is your escape?

My true escape is returning to the country. Long walks in the bush and time with my oldest school friends always make me feel grounded and completely myself.

If you could go anywhere tomorrow it would be…

The Maldives—always the dream!
Kim enjoying her holiday

What’s your idea of a luxury wellness holiday?

A true luxury wellness holiday blends both physical and mental wellbeing—they go hand in hand. My next dream retreat is Nihi Sumba in Indonesia, where luxury, adventure, nature, and deep relaxation meet to create the perfect wellness escape.

My top bucket-list destination is…

Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. I’ve always dreamed of the Maldives—it’s the ultimate destination on my list.

Brow Set Go, Lux by Kim Evans

Small and Mighty? Absolutely. This award-winning little wonder lifts, shapes, and sets your brows with budge-proof power that won’t he Best Budge Proof Brows at the Prevention Fitness Awards. A gel-soap hybrid packed with jojoba, hyaluronic acid + vitamins, it’s gym-proof, travel-friendly, and wallet-happy. Brow, Set, Go!

RRP: AUD$40.00

Lux Nomade

If you could sit next to anyone – dead or alive – on a long-haul flight, who would it be?

My beloved aunty—or P!NK!

What is your jet-lag recovery tip?

Sleep, sleep, sleep… and plenty of water! Hydration is essential after a long flight.
Kim in Fiji

What is your suitcase stalwart?

I recently discovered Murph and Murph—the BEST travel bag ever. It has endless pockets (perfect for my passport, glasses, laptop, wallet, makeup, phone, and water bottle), a cross-body strap, sturdy handles, a flat bottom, and even straps that slip neatly over your wheelie case handle. A total game-changer for travel.

What is your number one packing tip?

Packing cubes. They’ve completely transformed the way I travel. I love staying organised, and cubes make it so easy to find what I need without creating a mess.

I never travel without…

Charcoal tablets. I have a sensitive tummy, and they give me peace of mind when travelling so I can avoid getting sick and focus on enjoying my trip.

In my beauty / toiletry bag I always bring…

Sunscreen, tubular mascara, brow gel, and lip gloss—my absolute essentials.

Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare or a grand lobby to announce its presence. That is exactly how Finca Victoria arrived in Sa Riera—a restored estate where the pine-covered hills and Mediterranean set the tone before you even step inside.

Opened in 2025 after careful renovation of a historic property, it captures something rare on the Costa Brava: the feeling of having discovered a corner that hasn't yet lost its soul. Just thirty-eight rooms, all adults over fourteen, spread across what feels more like a private summer house than a resort determined to impress from the first moment. The central cloister anchors everything, with warm stone arches, ceramics, and Catalan tuff flooring that gives you a sense of place without leaning too hard on nostalgia.

The food alone tells you this was done with intention. AlKostat del Mar, led by chef Jordi Vilà, serves seasonal Catalan cooking rooted in local produce and fire. A rice dish can become the reason you're traveling somewhere new. Breakfast stretches from eight until eleven with made-to-order hot options alongside a carefully edited buffet—eggs Benedict with salmon, avocado toast, regional specialties like black butifarra with beans—that makes rushing feel unnecessary.

But what lingers is the room itself. In our Terrace Suite, nearly sixty square metres overlooked both sea and the rolling hills of Begur. The bathroom held both bathtub and rainfall shower. An outdoor shower faced sideways toward the horizon. These details don't shout; they settle into your memory slowly.

Spa appointments run through the Victoria Wellness Spa with water circuits, saunas, jacuzzis, and sensory treatments—all requiring advance booking, which somehow makes the peace even sweeter when you arrive. Morning yoga happens inside one of the suites, sunlight filling the space as you ground yourself into the day rather than race through it.

There is a complimentary shuttle to Begur village until late evening, and the beach is literally a short walk away. Private boat trips can be arranged for up to six people. Paddleboards, loungers, anything on the water the hotel can help coordinate through external partners. Yet even with
