SUITCASE SERIES: Dr Leanne Girgis Founder of INNOUR
This week we caught up with Dr Leanne Girgis Founder of INNOUR a doctor-developed inner-beauty brand focused on evidence-based nutrition to support skin, hair and overall wellbeing from within, to find out what she never travels without, her packing tips, and what their most memorable trip has been so far…
An Australian doctor, mother of three, and beauty expert, she founded Innour as a reflection of her professional standards and personal values. The name means “inner light,” a philosophy that shapes the brand’s honest, science-backed, and holistic approach to beauty and wellbeing. Guided by clinical experience and motherhood alike, she values thoughtful choices, evidence-based innovation, and uncompromising quality. Years of medical practice have reinforced that meaningful results require research, care, and integrity. Innour is carefully formulated, research-informed, and designed to support overall health—not just outward beauty—for modern women everywhere.
In this week’s Suitcase Series, we take a sneak peek into Leanne’s travel psyche…
What’s been your most memorable trip and why?
One of my most memorable trips was a road trip through the South of France and into northern Italy. It felt more like a collection of moments than a single journey. It was a month of pure bliss, with each stop more beautiful than anything I could have imagined. Some of the places we visited included Saint-Émilion, where we wandered through romantic stone alleyways and lingered over long, leisurely lunches, soaking up the village’s quiet charm. In Carcassonne, we stayed in a castle that felt completely transportive, before making our way to Aix-en-Provence. There, a single bottle of wine at a local restaurant led us off the main roads and down winding dirt tracks in search of the small winery that had produced it – one of those spontaneous adventures that makes travel unforgettable.
Further along, Portofino captivated us with its jewel-toned harbour and breathtaking coastal walk, and we finished the journey with a week in Sardinia, where crystal-clear waters, sun-drenched days, and an unhurried pace felt like the perfect finale. Travelling by car allowed us to move slowly and freely, letting each destination reveal itself in its own time and making the entire trip feel effortless and deeply special.
What’s your favourite ever hotel?
The W in the Maldives – a stunning private bungalow suspended over the water. I usually struggle to fully relax, but I’ve never felt as completely at ease as I did here. The attention to detail and the service were unparalleled, and the food was exceptional. The water was the clearest I’ve ever seen, and the hours spent simply unwinding, floating between sun and sea, were absolute perfection.

Where or what is your escape?
I live to travel, especially to places off the beaten track and away from the crowds. There’s nothing better than wandering through a new city, getting a little lost, and soaking up the local culture.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow it would be…
For me, it’s always Italy. I’m dreaming of a trip through Sicily.
What’s your idea of a luxury wellness holiday?
I’m always on the go – running Innour, working as a doctor, and juggling three children’s schedules, so for me, a luxury wellness holiday is all about indulgence without guilt. Long swims, fresh air, incredible food, a facial or two, and time to do absolutely nothing and savour every second.
My top bucket-list destination is…
It’s so hard to pick just one, but I’m going with Morocco. It feels like a feast for all the senses – rich in culture, history, and unforgettable experiences.
Natural Marine Collagen – Summer Fruits 30 Sachets, INNOUR
Innour Natural Marine Collagen – Summer Fruits 30 Sachets turns your daily sip into a glow ritual. This beachy, fruity collagen is sustainably sourced, hydrolysed for max absorption, and boosted with vitamin C to help keep skin supple, hair happy, and nails strong — all while tasting like summer in a glass. Mix it with your fave drink and sip your way to inner radiance. Beauty from within never tasted this good!
If you could sit next to anyone – dead or alive – on a long-haul flight, who would it be?
I’d sit next to my best friend – we hardly get to see each other, and the laughs are endless, with conversation that just keeps flowing. Or Steven Bartlett – just imagine how much I could learn from his insights and stories along the way!
What is your jet-lag recovery tip?
My top jet-lag recovery tip is to get outside and sync with the local rhythm as soon as possible – natural light does wonders. Also, plenty of water with some electrolytes and Innour collagen, moving my body with a walk or stretch, and a light nourishing meal.

What is your suitcase stalwart?
My July suitcase has been everywhere with me. It’s sturdy, stylish, and completely reliable – my ultimate travel companion.
What is your number one packing tip?
My number one packing tip is to pack light – a small, curated wardrobe of essentials that mix and match. That way, I’ve got plenty of room for treasures from my travels, whether it’s a plate from the Amalfi Coast or a hand-painted ceramic from a Santorini market. There’s something so romantic about bringing a little piece of your trip home.

I never travel without…
I never travel without sunscreen and my Innour Marine Collagen. They help me feel and look refreshed and glowy – my ultimate travel duo. I also always bring a good book to unwind with on my balcony at the end of the day, while the streets below buzz with local life.
In my beauty / toiletry bag I always bring…
In my beauty bag, I like to travel light and keep things simple, focusing on products that keep me refreshed and glowy – my Innour Marine Collagen sachets, a nourishing serum, a hydrating moisturiser, sunscreen, and a fun lippy.
