In this week’s LUX LIST Beauty, I’m trialling some of the best Face Mists on the market, so you don’t have to
I feel there are two kinds of people in the world: those obsessed with a face mist and those who don’t see the point of using them all over your face. As you might guess, I’m from the first group, and yes, I literally swear by face mists, and honestly, I can’t spend a day without spritzing my face with these bad boys. If you are not a fan like me, allow me to introduce you to the face spritzing world, and who knows, maybe you’ll become part of my team by the end of the day!
What are the best skin benefits of using a face mist?
There are a few benefits you might want to know about, starting with the apparent sense of freshness straight away; imagine you slept over and don’t have time to put yourself together before an early morning Zoom call, spray a face mist all over your face. Your complexion will instantly look more awaken and plumper, ready to turn the camera on. Another thing I like about facial mists is that they can be a perfect ally when your skin is feeling a bit stressed out, spray a face mist all over your face and say hi to a well-deserved me-moment with TLC properties.
On the dry-skin team? Then, a face mist will boost the hydration your complexion needs. With a few spritzes, your skin will feel cool out and moistured as a chilly summery night.
When should you use a face mist?
Honestly, anytime is a perfect moment to spray them all over, but some of the most recommended uses can be as follows.
First thing, in the morning, to awaken your skin, as mentioned before. After doing your makeup, if you’re looking to add an extra dose of juiciness (I know you’re probably not wearing full-face makeup these days, but keep this in mind for the coming months). As a midday pick-me-up in between meetings to look as flawless as ever on the camera. And, before doing your skincare at night to help any product you are using penetrate better into the skin.
How to choose the best face mist?
Ahead, some tried and tested face mists that are worth spending the $$, so you don’t have to worry about getting your head scrambled over so many options on the market. But, first, a couple of things to consider here:
Ingredient wise you would like to consider anything hydrating and soothing for all skin types, such as rosewater, vitamin c, green tea, hyaluronic acid, or cucumber extract.
The spritz strength is also fundamental to consider and, for me, one of the reasons I would love a mist or leave it at the back of my beauty cupboard. On this end, you want a product that sprays evenly all over your face, not one that leaves visible droplets on certain parts of your complexion while leaving other areas without moisture.
These are the seven best face mist I have tried and tested for you.
