The Hotel Design

Urban design is mixed with traditional elegance at this luxury boutique hotel. The common areas are tastefully decorated with plush furniture, vibrant colours, beautiful wooden floors and black and white photographs decorating the walls. The VIP area on the 10th floor is an elegant space to work or/and enjoy a drink and canapes which are complimentary daily between 5 pm – 7 pm.  The area also provides private check-ins for guests staying on the same floor.

The Spacious and Stylish Studio

The akyra studio is a spacious and stylish 37sqm room boasting a cityscape view. The wooden floors, dark green walls and marble tables add a warm and luxurious feel. The room’s queen-size bed is comfortable and benefits from 430 thread-count linens and extra pillows (cylinder pillows to place under your knees for extra comfort) as well as a pillow menu should guests have specific requirements. The room is equipped with universal power plugs including USB ports on both sides of the bed, super-fast complimentary Wi-Fi and a well-stocked mini-bar, large smart TV and an in-room safe. The bathroom is entirely clad in marble and boasts an impressive rain shower, excellent bath amenities (refillable containers to avoid single-use plastic) and soft towels and bathrobes.

The hotel offers both short-term and long-term accommodation and additional rooms range from suites to three-bedroom apartments.

The Hotel Facilities

The double infinity-edged swimming pool is located on the 11th floor next to the restaurant. Surrounded by sun loungers and green lush plants the pool area offers a spectacular view of the city. The urban oasis is the perfect place to unwind after a hectic day exploring the city and there’s an infinity jacuzzi that can be used until 10 pm for total relaxation.

On the 10th floor, guests will find a fully equipped gym and the hotel caters to business travellers with several meeting rooms and event facilities available.

Som Tam & Chardonnay Restaurant

The Som Tam & Chardonnay Restaurant has a real WOW-factor when it comes to the food. Located on the 11th food overlooking the pool area this stylish and intimate restaurant has 48 seats. The breakfast buffet is impressive and inspiriting. Try traditional Thai food such as noodle soups, rice dishes and Teriyaki chicken or omelettes, pastries, and cold cuts. For those with a sweet tooth, the fluffy pancakes and Belgium waffles are hard to resist. The lunch menu is excellent in blending Asian cuisine with Western dishes. The Club Sandwich is great and so are the salads including Oriental, Ceasar and Spicey Thai. In the evening the restaurant offers a more extensive menu including a great wine list. Some of the popular dishes on the menu include the squid-ink pasta with duck ragu and Sea Bass with quinoa. Som Tam & Chardonnay doesn’t disappoint in the dessert department either. The famous Thai sticky rice with coconut ice-cream is heavenly sweet and refreshing and the Tiramisu is superb! The ‘welcome bread’ served with a home-made spicey Thai chutney is a nice touch so is the fun breakfast menu designed as a newspaper. The service is fantastic and the staff is going the extra mile to ensure every dining experience is enjoyable.

For guests who fancy a tipple, the Otto Pool Bar offers comfortable outdoor seating by the pool that boasts 180-degree views across Bangkok. The bar serves a selection of refreshing beverages, including Asahi Extra Cold draft beer, cooled to minus 2.2 degrees (!) perfect for a balmy Bangkok evening.
