Suitcase Series: Lisa Walker Co-Founder Of Eir Women
This week we caught up with Lisa Walker the co-founder of Eir Women, a female-founded business providing supplements to women over 40, to find out what she never travels without, her packing tips, and what her most memorable trip has been so far…
Lisa Walker is the co-founder of the Australian supplement brand, Eir Woman.
Hailing from the outskirts of Melbourne, she graduated from university with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences and every intention to work within an environmental group—or better yet, the zoo. But a post-uni ad agency gig unearthed a knack for beauty and health marketing, and she spent years fine-tuning the stories of other brands and celebrities including Canon, Invisible Zinc, Skinstitut, Lisa Wilkinson and Dr Chris Brown, whilst teaching yoga on the side.
Lisa crossed paths with Kate, her co-founder partner, along the way and water-cooler chat became a friendship, glued together by their ability to find hilarity in (almost) every situation that comes with feeling constantly foggy/fatigued/frazzled and managing the mental load.
The idea for Eir simmered in the background, but eventually, the two decided to create a solution for the issues they—and all their friends—were silently battling with from the mental churn and the daily grind.
Eir Women is the culmination of endless conversations, consolations and consultations with women like Lisa and Kate and the end result is a supplement brand helping women feel normal again, and to add a feeling of lightness into every life stage including PMS, peri-menopause and menopause.
Lisa now calls Sydney’s Northern Beaches home, where she solo-parents two boys and two dogs (her very own zoo) following the devastating loss of her husband in early 2022. She loves yoga and nature (but not pina coladas) and fantasises about living in the New Zealand wilderness.
In this week’s Suitcase Series, we take a sneak peek into Lisa’s travel psyche…
What’s been your most memorable trip, and why?
I love to travel and have been really fortunate enough to do everything from backpacking around the world to luxury travel.
By far the most memorable would have been a luxury tented safari in South Africa. As someone who loves nature and photography, being in this environment and seeing these amazing creatures in their natural habitat was incredible. Waking up to the sounds of lions, drinking coffee watching hippos and spotting leopards at night was a dream come true. Not to mention the experience at Honeyguide Safari Camp, where the staff and food were beyond anything I have experienced before.
I’m lucky to live right by the beach, so I like to be walking in the ocean air every day. I find being by water calming and also brings focus to my day. We often travel to the mid-north coast of NSW and this would definitely be my place to escape and recharge.
If you could go anywhere tomorrow, it would be…
Canada. I lived in Vancouver for a while and would love for my boys to meet my friends’ children there. We have a trip planned for later this year and I hope they love it as much as I do.
What’s your idea of a luxury wellness holiday?
Anywhere I feel as though I can fill my cup. For me, that is open space, culture, nature and nurture. It doesn’t need to include traditional ‘wellness’ as I am a trained yoga teacher and can do that anywhere, and I’m not into juice diets or boot camps. I just need to be able to be free of all of the normal distractions and stresses of life, and for someone to cook delicious, healthy food for me!
My top bucket-list destination is…
Good question! I have the longest list. It would either be to see the Aurora Borealis from the arctic circle or to see the gorillas in Uganda. Honestly, I could go on forever.
If you could sit next to anyone – dead or alive – on a long-haul flight, who would it be?
David Attenborough. I am fascinated by his knowledge and passion, and the calmness that emanates from him.
What is your jet lag recovery tip?
Walk, explore and try to get on local time asap…all the normal things. I’m terrible though and don’t sleep enough when travelling. I tend to get very nauseous and my digestion suffers when travelling. Try to stick to good food and no alcohol!

What is your suitcase stalwart?
Oh, I’m researching now! Mine are so old and battered it’s time for an upgrade. I’m looking for a great colour that won’t be picked up by someone else on the conveyor…
What is your number one packing tip?
Always pack a spare change of clothes for your destination in your carry-on. My luggage has been delayed so many times and there is nothing worse than being stuck in your travelling clothes… especially on a tropical beach.
I never travel without…
Runners. My favourite thing to do in a new place is exploring or at least get up early and exercise. It is usually the only time I get to myself, so it’s important to have this time and it also allows me to check out places to drag the boys to later in the day.
In my beauty/toiletry bag, I always bring…
My Eir supplements in a zip-lock bag. We made them coloured so that they can be easily identified even when thrown in together. I’ll always take Show Up in the morning, Zipped (great for travel bloating) either with breakfast or lunch and Reboot before I go to bed.
