Hotel Opening: Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort
There’s a new reason to look west when planning a Florida escape. Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort has officially opened on the Gulf Coast, ushering in a fresh chapter for one of the state’s most storied seaside addresses — and doing so with a distinctly polished, quietly confident air.
Set on 1,000 feet of white-sand shoreline and spread across 125 acres of landscaped grounds, the resort occupies a prime spot in Old Naples, within easy reach of both Historic Third Street and Fifth Avenue South. Translation: beach mornings, boutique browsing by afternoon and sunset cocktails without ever needing to get in a car.
This is Four Seasons’ latest Florida opening and a significant one. Developed by BDT & MSD and The Athens Group, the resort feels deliberately expansive but never overwhelming — more coastal village than mega-resort. At its heart is Market Square, a central hub designed to draw together guests and locals via shops, dining and social spaces, reinforcing a sense of community rather than seclusion.
The Look & Feel
Architecturally, Naples Beach Club takes its cues from Old Naples’ historic cottage homes, reimagined through a contemporary lens by Hart Howerton. Interiors by Champalimaud Design lean into relaxed elegance: light-filled spaces, crisp white millwork, bleached pecky cypress ceilings and thoughtful nods to Florida’s natural landscape. It’s grand in scale but softened with texture and warmth — the kind of place where flip-flops feel as welcome as linen tailoring.
The arrival sequence sets the tone: a soaring lobby anchored by sculptural lighting and palm-leaf motifs, flowing through a series of archways into The Library and The Merchant Room, the resort’s signature restaurant. Details like 1920s-inspired lighting and custom artwork add a sense of heritage without tipping into nostalgia.

Rooms With A View (Literally)
There are 220 guest rooms and suites, all designed with indoor-outdoor living firmly in mind. Expect high ceilings, neutral palettes, natural materials and expansive terraces overlooking the Gulf. Thoughtful touches — banquette dining nooks, bespoke lacquered cabinetry in soft pastels, generous walk-in wardrobes — give the rooms a residential feel rather than a hotel one.
The headline accommodation arrives in early 2026: the five-bedroom Sabal Suite. At 7,000 square feet with a vast wraparound terrace, circular pool and panoramic ocean views, it’s pitched squarely at multigenerational stays and special-occasion escapes.
Eating & Drinking
Food is a major focus here, with five distinct dining concepts now open. Local favourite HB’s returns as the only true beachfront restaurant in Old Naples, while Sunset Bar reclaims its reputation as the place to watch the sun dip into the Gulf.
The Merchant Room, led by two-time James Beard Award winner Gavin Kaysen, marks his first venture outside the Midwest. The menu sits comfortably in New American brasserie territory — think dry-aged steaks, house-made pasta and French technique meeting regional influences — served in a space that feels as good for celebratory dinners as it does for lingering lunches.

Wellness, But Make It Gulf Coast
Sanctuary Spa spans two levels and 30,000 square feet, making it one of the most comprehensive wellness offerings on the Gulf Coast. The focus is on elemental therapies — ocean, plant, heat and air — alongside a thermal circuit designed for shared experiences (aromatherapy steam rooms, saunas, vitality pools and cold plunges).
There’s also a rooftop lap pool overlooking the golf course, plus a 24-hour fitness centre developed with trainer Harley Pasternak. This is wellness that feels considered rather than showy — more about restoration than reinvention.
What To Do (Or Not Do)
Days can be as active or as languid as you like. Beach cabanas, paddleboards and kayaks sit alongside two resort pools (one family-friendly), while the Racquet Club offers six Har-Tru courts for tennis fans.
For exploring further afield, the team can arrange Everglades eco-walks, fishing trips or time on the resort’s classic Hinckley picnic boat — ideal for shell-seeking or sunset cruising.
Looking Ahead
The wider Naples Beach Club destination is still evolving. In 2026, a Tom Fazio–designed 18-hole golf course will open in partnership with Discovery Land Company, alongside additional amenities including a sports-centric gastropub with bowling lanes, a private cinema, and an educational kids’ club focused on the local ecosystem.
There are also 153 private residences underway — a mix of beachfront and golfside homes — offering Four Seasons service in a more permanent setting.
The Verdict
Naples Beach Club doesn’t shout for attention — and that’s precisely its appeal. Polished but not pretentious, expansive yet rooted in its surroundings, it feels like a natural next step for Naples rather than a glossy interruption. For those who love their luxury thoughtful, coastal and quietly confident, this is one opening worth noting.
