The Elysium Hotel – a magnificent and elegant resort located in the historical heartland of Paphos, Cyprus offers first-class comfort and relaxation coupled with timeless luxury.

Location

The Elysium Hotel is only 25 minutes from Paphos International Airport, and 90 minutes from Larnaca International Airport, located right on the beach only five minutes from the picturesque harbour of Paphos on the South Western coast of Cyprus. Famous for the birthplace of Aphrodite, Paphos is included in the official UNESCO list for its spectacular ancient remains including the Tombs of the Kings which is only a short walk from the hotel.

The Royal Pool

The Resort

A grande, magnificent and elegant sanctuary, is the best words to describe this luxury five-star resort. By blending elegance with seclusion, the resort, despite being a large property, still manages to create an intimate atmosphere offering a haven of complete tranquillity. Sun-seeking guests can enjoy the large pool area with a swim-up bar and restaurant or seek out a more quiet spot by claiming any of the sunbeds generously placed across the grass areas all the way down to the beach, for the day.

There are several restaurants to choose from including; Lemonia Piazza (where breakfast is served daily), Epicurean, Ristorante Bacco, O’Shin and Mediterraneo. Guests can also enjoy beautiful cocktails and a view to match at the Astria Bar or a perfect cappuccino at Cafe Occidental. The resort also offers a world-class spa, gym and a kids club.

Deluxe Room Ocean View

The Deluxe Room Ocean View

The Deluxe Room on the fourth floor offers a spacious 34 sqm and is decorated in neutral sandy cream colours with a touch of pink and purple. Upon arriving at the room complimentary fresh fruit has been delivered including blueberries, strawberries and raspberries which is a wonderful touch.

The king-size bed is incredibly comfortable and comes with a pillow selection-menu for maximum comfort. The bathroom has a bathtub as well as a power shower, soft bathrobes, slippers and Molton Brown amenities.

Ladies will be pleasantly surprised to find out that the desk is, in fact, a multi-functional piece of furniture which cleverly transforms into a dressing table. By simply lifting up the top section of the desk the back displays a large mirror with a hairdryer stored underneath. Perfect for styling those beach curls before heading out for dinner. The room also features automated in-room lighting system including soft mood lighting and night light as well as separate reading lights.

Lastly, the most stunning feature of the room – the magnificent ocean view! In the evenings the comfortable chairs on the balcony offer a first-row view of the incredible sunset which can be enjoyed whilst sipping on a local amaretto soaking in the gentle ocean breeze for the ultimate holiday bliss.

Additional accommodation options ranging from Deluxe rooms with a garden view to Cyprian Maisonettes, Royal Studios and Royal Garden Villas located in a separate VIP area which also has its own Royal Pool.

Lemonia Piazza

The Breakfast

The breakfast is served daily at the Lemonia Piazza between 7 am – 10.30 am. With 160 indoor seats, the chic and modern restaurant also offers an impressive 150 outdoor seats for guests wanting to soak up the early morning sun or enjoy their breakfast in the shade. The breakfast buffet is impressive and offers a wide range of international as well as local cuisine. Guests can stack their plates with eggs, made-to-order omelettes, pancakes and waffles to traditional hummus, fresh capers, salads and various cold cuts. There is, of course, a wonderful selection of bread and pastries as well as fresh fruits and yoghurts. The coffee and tea are excellent and is served together with fresh juices and champagne. The service is fantastic which matches the beautiful outdoor setting.

Ristorante Bacco

Ristorante Bacco

You don’t need to travel all the way to Italy to enjoy an incredible Italian dinner, as a matter of fact, guests only need to press ‘G’ in the lift to arrive at Ristorante Bacco. A cosy courtyard with olive trees, tables covered in white linen and Italian waiters delivering fantastic service creates a ‘Tuscany-feel’. This coupled with an impressive menu, Ristorante Bacco is an excellent choice for a romantic dinner.

The scallops are fantastic and so is the Turbot served with grilled asparagus and citrus sauce as well as the char-grilled Angus beef with ox-tail ravioli, pearl barley risotto and Barolo jus. If there is any room left for pudding the two classics; Pannacotta and Tiramisu are both heavenly and the perfect ‘gran finale’ to a perfect evening (make sure to arrive hungry since it is difficult to resist the four-course dinner).

Who is this resort for?

This resort is perfect for both young families and couples of all ages. The feel is ‘elegant’ and ‘grown-up’ however young families are very welcome and parents can make use of the kids club and the restaurants’ kids menus. With Paphos being famous for being the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, it’s not surprising Elysium Hotel is a famous destination for weddings and for couples wanting to celebrate their love. In fact, when checking in, a British couple next to me, was back to celebrate their wedding anniversary 30 years after getting married at the hotel. This must be a testament to the resort’s popularity and for the desire among guests to come back, year after year.

Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare or a grand lobby to announce its presence. That is exactly how Finca Victoria arrived in Sa Riera—a restored estate where the pine-covered hills and Mediterranean set the tone before you even step inside.

Opened in 2025 after careful renovation of a historic property, it captures something rare on the Costa Brava: the feeling of having discovered a corner that hasn't yet lost its soul. Just thirty-eight rooms, all adults over fourteen, spread across what feels more like a private summer house than a resort determined to impress from the first moment. The central cloister anchors everything, with warm stone arches, ceramics, and Catalan tuff flooring that gives you a sense of place without leaning too hard on nostalgia.

The food alone tells you this was done with intention. AlKostat del Mar, led by chef Jordi Vilà, serves seasonal Catalan cooking rooted in local produce and fire. A rice dish can become the reason you're traveling somewhere new. Breakfast stretches from eight until eleven with made-to-order hot options alongside a carefully edited buffet—eggs Benedict with salmon, avocado toast, regional specialties like black butifarra with beans—that makes rushing feel unnecessary.

But what lingers is the room itself. In our Terrace Suite, nearly sixty square metres overlooked both sea and the rolling hills of Begur. The bathroom held both bathtub and rainfall shower. An outdoor shower faced sideways toward the horizon. These details don't shout; they settle into your memory slowly.

Spa appointments run through the Victoria Wellness Spa with water circuits, saunas, jacuzzis, and sensory treatments—all requiring advance booking, which somehow makes the peace even sweeter when you arrive. Morning yoga happens inside one of the suites, sunlight filling the space as you ground yourself into the day rather than race through it.

There is a complimentary shuttle to Begur village until late evening, and the beach is literally a short walk away. Private boat trips can be arranged for up to six people. Paddleboards, loungers, anything on the water the hotel can help coordinate through external partners. Yet even with
