With luxurious milk baths, ‘Honeynut Martinis’ and stylish design, Hotel St Moritz Queenstown has the female factor ‘Inspired by her’…

Rose petal baths, ‘Honeynut Martinis’ and yoga mats are perhaps not what you immediately associate with a masculine alpine lodge, but, it’s exactly what awaits at Hotel St Moritz Queenstown, New Zealand. This is the place for female travellers looking for a bit of indulgence, and after all, isn’t that what travel is all about?

Inspired by Her – The Female Factor

Located in the heart of Queenstown, New Zealand with panoramic views overlooking Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range, the recently refurbished Hotel St Moritz is catering to the female travellers with the ‘Inspired by her’ package developed with, you guessed right, women in mind.

At this stylish 5-star alpine lodge guests are encouraged to immediately feel at home which is exactly the feeling you get with the centrepiece, a roaring open fire, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to the understated luxury perfectly blended with genuine hospitality and the warm and chic interior design with its intriguing artwork and bespoke furniture all create an unmistakable feminine vibe. Feminine touches have, in fact, been implemented throughout the entire hotel with the female traveller in mind. For instance, upon arrival, female guests receive a document outlining all services and accessories specially available for them during their stay. There is even an option to choose the location and size of the hotel room with small and cosy rooms being very popular.

Hotel St Moritz blends “charming” together with “luxury”, in a modern interpretation of alpine chic”. – Jo Finnigan, General Manager

Decorated with style and elegance the rooms are chic and unique offering complete sanctuary

Feminine Hotel Rooms

Hotel St Moritz benefits from one of the most breathtaking locations in the area, coupled with an unforgettable scenic view and a wide range of outdoor activities right on its doorstep, the hotel rooms have stiff competition. However, the stylish and feminine rooms at this stunning alpine lodge don’t disappoint. Decorated with style and elegance the rooms are smart and unique and offer a complete sanctuary for female travellers who want to rest both their body and mind. Everything has been thought of in the female-friendly rooms including thoughtful welcome products, a robe and slippers (in preferred size), a full-length mirror, skirt hangers, ironing boards, manicure kits, yoga mats and a great selection of women’s magazines, all to make you feel right at home. There is even an Emergency Kit including frequently forgotten items making your stay as smooth as possible.

For those who, understandably, find the cosy rooms too irresistible to leave, the restaurant and room–service menu won’t let you down. With delicious soups, refreshing salads and fresh fruit as well as a range of well-balanced dishes, you can relish a delectable meal wearing your stylish robe, all in the comfort and privacy of your own room.

At nighttime when you are ready for bed, choose a luxurious pillow or two, suitable for your neck and have a cup of your favourite herbal tea to calm the senses before enjoying good night’s sleep.

The Lombardi Dining Room is stylish and chic

Indulge in dishes and drinks inspired by women

No hotel stay is complete without good food and wine and at the stylish yet cosy Lombardi Dining Room, the food is both healthy and delicious including a well-balanced menu and wine list. Consider taking a culinary journey through the menu and enjoy dishes and drinks inspired by women such as the seafood fettuccine paired with Amisfield Sauvignon Blanc or the duck rillette served with Surveyor Thompson Pinot Noir. As for dessert, sit back and savour the panoramic picturesque lake and mountain backdrop whilst sipping on the sweet and delicious Inspired by Her cocktail – ‘Honey Nut Martini’, a mix of 42-Below honey vodka, Frangelico and butterscotch schnapps. The tale behind the cocktail is equally sweet as the cocktail itself and is inspired by Susan Nugent Wood a pioneer woman of the gold rush in Otago.

The Molton Brown Rosa Absolute Milk Bath Experience

Beauty and Wellness

After dinner, continue to indulge your senses with The Molton Brown Rosa Absolute Milk Bath Experience, a luxurious relaxation ritual helping to release any pain from sore muscles from a day in the mountains, worthy of Cleopatra herself. The gorgeous New Zealand milk-based bath covered with rose petals is conveniently prepared in your room and ready to sink into after an activity-filled day in the outdoors. Enjoy the rose scented luxurious soak and sip on a glass of Central Otago Pinot Noir whilst relaxing and unwinding waiting for your skin to become silky-smooth – the perfect grand finale of the evening.

However, if you rather prefer an outdoor soak, visit the Hot Tub Garden where you can enjoy the serenity and tranquillity of nature all from the comfort of one of the hot tubs tucked away in a green, lush terraced garden. Allow thoughts wander whilst taking in the magnificent views of the Cecil and Walter Peaks.

For those wishing to keep active beyond the outdoor activities, there is a good-sized gymnasium which can be used together with the sauna. And for ladies in need of a blow-dry, facial or manicure there is a list of carefully selected local services available to enhance the alpine glow.

Hotel St Moritz is a 5-minute walk from Queenstown CBD and a 10-minute drive from Queenstown International Airport. Guest rooms start from NZD$289/night, One Bedroom Alpine Suites from NZD$334/night and Two Bedroom Suite Lake View from NZD$679/night.

Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare Sometimes luxury shows up quietly, without fanfare or a grand lobby to announce its presence. That is exactly how Finca Victoria arrived in Sa Riera—a restored estate where the pine-covered hills and Mediterranean set the tone before you even step inside.

Opened in 2025 after careful renovation of a historic property, it captures something rare on the Costa Brava: the feeling of having discovered a corner that hasn't yet lost its soul. Just thirty-eight rooms, all adults over fourteen, spread across what feels more like a private summer house than a resort determined to impress from the first moment. The central cloister anchors everything, with warm stone arches, ceramics, and Catalan tuff flooring that gives you a sense of place without leaning too hard on nostalgia.

The food alone tells you this was done with intention. AlKostat del Mar, led by chef Jordi Vilà, serves seasonal Catalan cooking rooted in local produce and fire. A rice dish can become the reason you're traveling somewhere new. Breakfast stretches from eight until eleven with made-to-order hot options alongside a carefully edited buffet—eggs Benedict with salmon, avocado toast, regional specialties like black butifarra with beans—that makes rushing feel unnecessary.

But what lingers is the room itself. In our Terrace Suite, nearly sixty square metres overlooked both sea and the rolling hills of Begur. The bathroom held both bathtub and rainfall shower. An outdoor shower faced sideways toward the horizon. These details don't shout; they settle into your memory slowly.

Spa appointments run through the Victoria Wellness Spa with water circuits, saunas, jacuzzis, and sensory treatments—all requiring advance booking, which somehow makes the peace even sweeter when you arrive. Morning yoga happens inside one of the suites, sunlight filling the space as you ground yourself into the day rather than race through it.

There is a complimentary shuttle to Begur village until late evening, and the beach is literally a short walk away. Private boat trips can be arranged for up to six people. Paddleboards, loungers, anything on the water the hotel can help coordinate through external partners. Yet even with
