Serving up lunch, afternoon tea and dinner this is the perfect destination for anyone who is after a lunch-delux gastronomic experience coupled with an extraordinary view.
The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable when presenting the menu including the various Mediterranean tapas.
Enjoy a Bellini as a pre-drink before lunch, sit back and take in the view of the village of Deià and the mountains.
As any local would testify to, a Spanish lunch isn’t complete without a well-filled bread basket. Café Miro offers a wide selection including delicious rosemary rolls served warm with a Mallorcan olive oil and tapenade.
A popular starter is the local red tuna from the coast of Mallorca which is known to be one of the best in the world. Slightly pan fried the tuna tataki is served with a sweet mango dressing.
The warm goat’s cheese salad is served with Mallorcan rosemary flower honey and dried fruit and hits the balance perfectly between sweet and savoury.
As the main course, the most popular dishes are the regional paella and Sóller prawns as well as the mixed grilled fish and seafood from the catch of the day. However, the traditional tapas are equally as tasty and is a wonderful way of sharing platters between guests.
The lunch is served with a young white wine – Bodegas Zarate ‘El Jardin de Lucia’ Albarino 2016, Rias Baixas from Spain.
For the main course, the blini with salmon and creme fraiche is a refreshing dish and works well together with the scallops served with strawberries and green asparagus.
It is hard to resist the tempting selection of puddings. To top off the lunch the classic caramelised Catalan baked custard with cinnamon is doing the trick closely followed by the Meringue pastry with apricot sauce.
The coffee, as expected, is terrific and is served in beautiful silverware.
