As we are heading into winter, using rich and moisturising body lotions is essential to keep our skin smooth, soft and hydrated during the cooler months.

Leading Australian Dermatologist Dr Shyamalar explains, “Changes in humidity and temperature result in less moisture in the atmosphere. We also produce fewer ceramides, the glue in between our skin cells, thereby compromising our skin barrier”. Dr Shyamalar recommends taking shorter showers at tepid temperatures and that we pat dry and apply a good emollient moisturiser whilst the skin is slightly damp for optimal absorption.
