Californian vibes with pastel colours, healthy food and a splash of celebrity dust with former River Cottage Chef, forager and presenter, Mark Lloyd in the kitchen.
Atmosphere & Venue
Located just off Westbourne Grove in Notting Hills, this pretty and colourful 1970s Malibu-styled restaurant is like a ray of sunshine. The interior decor is fun and flirty with seat covers in turquoise, yellow, orange, green and blue. The white walls, fresh plants and retro bar immediately transport guest from grey and rainy London to sunny California.
The staff is chirpy and welcoming and the relaxed atmosphere adds to the west coast vibe.
Food & Drinks
With the River Cottage Chef, forager and presenter, Mark Lloyd recently taking the reins at the Notting Hill favourite, the menu he has developed is focusing on sustainability. The new dishes including both lunch and dinner service highlight local and seasonal produce with a rustic yet refined finish.
Pomona’s is incredibly busy during weekends, especially for brunch and with the new yummy breakfast and brunch dishes (available until 4pm) it’s not difficult to see why. Tuck into dishes including; pancakes with bacon and maple syrup; beetroot hash with chilli, fried eggs and sauté potatoes; and British burrata with lemon, basil, rocket, peaches and hazelnuts. Or try one of the most popular dishes on the brunch menu – the buttermilk chicken Benedict, spinach, muffin with Cajun Hollandaise which is (as the name suggests) absolutely amazing.
For the health-conscious craving something light, the British crab on toast with avocado and mango and Smoked Duck, Rocket, Roasted Peaches, Spiced Seeds, Green Herbs are great options. There are also several gluten and dairy free options and a daily special boards.
It’s simply impossible to resist the dessert menu which has, apart from an amazing chocolate mouse, a coconut pannacotta with mango which is fresh, light and the perfect way to end a delicious meal.
Pomona’s bar has become a popular destination, in its own right, for discerning drinkers. Expect award-winning bartenders showing off an impressive list of signature creations such as Smoked Mezcal Old Fashioned, Matcha Mule and best-selling Cranberry Cobbler. Kick back and enjoy your tipple of choice from one of the lounge chairs.
