Melbourne Airport gets new premium co-working space

The recently opened aviation-inspired hotel and coworking precinct at Melbourne Airport, located next to the Terminal 4 transport hub, marks the first new-build hotel at Melbourne Airport in more than 20 years.

The new precinct creates a diverse hub of activity, where people can stop for a coffee, book a desk for a day, or attend conferences with access to wellness amenities and dining options, all within the hotel complex.

The project encompasses not only the hotel offering but also a range of amenities and public spaces designed to foster a lively, community-oriented atmosphere, including a bar, restaurant, and cafe with fit-out design by Technē Architecture and Interiors. The ground plane also features a lush planted internal courtyard, the two branded hotel lobbies, and conference facilities.

Designed with wellness at the forefront, amenities on the ground floor include a pool, treatment room, and a sauna, designed to create a feeling of retreat and tranquillity, with a gym located on the first floor.

A premium two-level workspace

The space contains a  new offering for Melbourne Airport — a premium two-level workspace featuring coworking lounges and bookable meeting spaces operated by Accor. This space is accessible for all travellers, airport guests, and to the 20,000-strong airport working community.

The first level of the aerofoil features bookable desks and quiet work areas in an open layout, with a premium hosting experience delivered by Accor. The top floor offers bookable meeting rooms, catering to various business needs, from large boardrooms to smaller meeting rooms and quiet booths. Short-term office spaces are also available for lease, ideal for local businesses and traders seeking a high-quality workspace.

The hotel wings of the building’s L-shaped design house Accor’s dual branded offering, with centralised back-of-house facilities, guest amenities, and a lively ground floor plane. Designed in consultation with Accor to deliver operational efficiencies while still navigating the complexities of running two hotel brands, this layout facilitates the delivery of high-quality hospitality services across the precinct.
