Hilton Sydney: Lux Nomade checks in for a luxurious family staycation
At the end of an eventful, fabulous but extremely busy School Holidays travelling interstate, you would be forgiven for thinking I should be happy to stay home and relax. However, what I knew my family needed before the routine came back in full swing was a staycation!
In search of an opulent last-dash experience to drop our bags and connect as a family without the stress of months of preparations and logistical pressures, we headed for the Hilton Sydney!
If you’re looking for a luxurious staycation in the heart of Sydney, the Hilton is the perfect destination for families like mine. The ginormous property features all the ingredients necessary for a luxe stay in Sydney. Located smack bang in the middle of Sydney’s busy business district, it also overlooks the city’s pretty buildings. Although in the buzzing Sydney atmosphere, once you step inside the light-filled expansive lobby, a calmness invites you to enjoy the space so carefully and architecturally crafted. There is a reason the property has held its infamous beauty status spanning decades. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel welcome and ensured that our stay was a memorable one.
The spacious rooms were beautifully designed with comfortable beds, modern amenities, and stunning views of the city. Our interconnecting rooms were spacious, modern and luxurious.
The hotel’s prime location meant that we could explore the city on foot and by using public transport easily. We visited top attractions such as the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, with a spot of Pitt Street mall shopping.
Once back in the room, my children loved the indoor swimming pool, and my partner and I enjoyed unwinding in the huge fitness first fitness centre, steam room and spa. The whole area was therapeutic with something for everyone.
Opting to leave the kids in the room to enjoy room service burgers and a movie, the standout experience of the hotel for us was the Glass Brasserie, headed up by the renowned Australian chef, Luke Mangan. The restaurant is named after its stunning floor-to-ceiling glass windows and has won numerous awards for its contemporary Australian cuisine. Cocktails at the famous Zeta Bar and Lounge coupled perfectly with our great kid-free dining opportunity!
Overall, the Hilton in Sydney offered an unbeatable staycation experience to sample the city’s best offerings with my family. With its luxurious rooms, excellent facilities, and fantastic dining options, it was the perfect choice for creating some new memories.
